LncRNAs and neoplasia

LncRNAs are also being evaluated as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers and may provide targets for potential therapeutic applications. An improved understanding of the roles played by lncRNAs in cancer will lead to more effective therapeutic strategies. In this review we summarize the current knowledge on lncRNAs and their function as mediators of tumor development.
