Measurement of 1- and 3-methylhistidine in human urine by ultra performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry

► We develop and validate novel UPLC-MS/MS method for the determination urinary 1- and 3-methylhistidine. ► Urine samples from 27 Chinese adults were analyzed. ► The results are well comparable to the previous publications. ► This method is suitable for the determination of urinary 1-MH and 3-MH in clinical practice.
