Application of next-generation sequencing technology to profile the circulating microRNAs in the serum of preeclampsia versus normal pregnant women

►We systemic analyze the profiles of circulating miRNAs in serum by SOLiD sequencer. ►Circulating miRNAs are found to be novel biomarkers for preeclampsia (PE) in maternal serum. ►15 miRNAs were up-expressed in PE, and 7 miRNAs were down-expressed in PE. ►3 down-expressed miRNAs here were reported to be down-regulated in PE placentas.
