Overexpression of the novel member of the BCL2 gene family, BCL2L12, is associated with the disease outcome in patients with acute myeloid leukemia

► BCL2L12 expression is associated with chemotherapy response and CD117 expression. ► BCL2L12-positive AML patients were three times more likely to relapse and/or die. ► BCL2L12 constitutes an independent unfavorable predictor of DFS in AML patients. ► DFS and OS time intervals are significantly shorter for BCL2L12-positive patients.
