Effect of beta blockade on natriuretic peptides and copeptin in elderly patients with heart failure and preserved or reduced ejection fraction: Results from the CIBIS-ELD trial

► Natriuretic peptides and copeptin are lower in HFPEF compared to HFREF patients. ► Natriuretic peptides may increase shortly after initiation of BB in HFREF patients. ► Copeptin might reflect successful BB up-titration faster than NT-proBNP in HFREF.
