Protein cocrystallization molecules originating from in vitro selected macrocyclic peptides

- PfMATE-binding macrocyclic peptides were selected.
- No proteinaceous scaffolds were designed into the naïve macrocyclic peptide library.
- Four of the selected macrocyclic peptides were cocrystallized with PfMATE.
- Macrocyclic peptides bound in PfMATE's cleft or substrate-binding pocket.
- The potential of macrocyclic peptides for cocrystallization is discussed.
