Implication of anti-inflammatory macrophages in regenerative moto-neuritogenesis: Promotion of myoblast migration and neural chemorepellent semaphorin 3A expression in injured muscle

- M2 cells infiltrate injured muscle predominantly at the early-differentiation phase.
- M2 secrete HGF that promotes chemotactic migration/Sema3A expression of myoblasts.
- Pro-inflammatory macrophages (M1) by contrast, did not show any significant effect.
- Encouraging a spatiotemporal contribution of M2 to regenerative motoneuritogenesis.
