Ag0 nanoparticles containing cotton fabric: Synthesis, characterization, color data and antibacterial action

- Hydrolyzed xanthan was used as reducer for Ag+ and stabilizer for the formed AgNPs.
- Small size spherical AgNPs was produced with mean size of 9.1 nm.
- Cotton was acquired a yellowish color after coating with the so obtained AgNPs.
- Ag0 coated cotton exhibited excellent antibacterial action even after 20 washings.
