Urinary profile of methylprednisolone and its metabolites after oral and topical administrations

- A method to quantify methylprednisolone (MP) in urine was validated.
- Fifteen metabolites of MP were also qualitatively determined with this method.
- Topical (50 mg) and oral (4 or 40 mg) MP was administered to 4 healthy volunteers.
- Excretion profiles of MP and metabolites were compared after oral and topical administrations.
