Androgen receptor in triple negative breast cancer

► Triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a current clinical problem. ► There is a lack of targeted therapies for TNBC in contrast to other breast cancers. ► Androgen receptor is found in 30% of TNBC hence is a potential therapeutic target. ► Currently the role of biological role AR in TNBC is unclear. ► This review summarises the current studies and suggests future directions.
