Comparison of estrogenic responses in bone and uterus depending on the parity status in Lewis rats

► We compared responses to ovariectomy and E2 substitution depending on parity status. ► Effects were assessed on physiological and molecular level in uterus and bone. ► Significant differences were observed with regard to the estrogenic sensitivity. ► E2 mediated effects on bone were only found among nulliparous rats.
