Etazolate, a phosphodiesterase 4 inhibitor reverses chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression-like behavior and brain oxidative damage

► We investigated the antidepressant-like effect of etazolate in CUMS. ► Etazolate reversed the behavioral and biochemical changes in CUMS. ► Etazolate exhibited antidepressant-like effect in CUMS-induced depression model. ► Antidepressant-like effect of etazolate may be modulated by inhibition of oxidative damage.
