The function of Rad6 gene in Hevea brasiliensis extends beyond DNA repair

► Hevea brasiliensis Rad6 gene (HbRad6) was cloned. ► HbRad6 protein may partially suppress the UV sensitivity of yeast rad6 mutant. ► HbRad6 expression was induced by H2O2, the latex stimulator ET, and JA. ► The results suggested that HbRad6 was a multifunction gene in rubber tree.
