Role of thioproline on seed germination: Interaction ROS-ABA and effects on antioxidative metabolism

► Thioproline and/or H2O2 stimulate seed germination and early seedling growth. ► Increase in FW correlated with a decrease in ABA. ► An interplay ABA-endogenous H2O2 was observed. ► H2O2 drop was not related with increases in H2O2-scavenging enzymes. ► A relationship between endogenous H2O2 production and plant growth is suggested.
