Les produits laitiers en France : évolution du marché et place dans la diète

Dairy products play an important role in the French diet as cheese, milk or yogurts are consumed every week by almost everyone. However, market sales and consumption of these products have been decreasing the recent past years, and more particularly consumption in children. Available nutritional data (recommended nutritional intakes, contribution in the diet…) show that covering calcium needs is difficult without consuming daily dairy products. The objective of this article is to gather factual recent data on sales, consumption and nutritional quality of dairy products, focusing particularly on yogurts and other nutritionally-close fresh fermented dairies.
