Die matrixinduzierte Chondrogenese: ein Literaturreview

Matrix-induced chondrogenesis is a new surgical procedure in which the tissue differentiation is to be improved by the application of a matrix to the pre-treated defect. This method may also be performed arthroscopically in most cases. The previous short-term results are positive with MRI-morphological good defect-filling and histological detection of hyaline-like cartilage. One prospective randomized study has shown that medium-term results of matrix-induced chondrogenesis are superior to results of the conventional microfracture technique. However, more scientific studies are needed to access the value of this new method.
