Highly Cross-Linked Polyethylene Reduces Osteolysis Incidence and Wear-Related Reoperation Rate in Cementless Total Hip Arthroplasty Compared With Conventional Polyethylene at a Mean 12-Year Follow-Up

A unique strength of this study is that we assessed a single manufacturer's HXLPE while keeping most other implant parameters uniform. This study reveals the clinical advantage of using a single manufacturer's HXLPE in terms of a reduced wear-related reoperation rate at a mean 12-year follow-up.
