Degenerate form of a three-component Degasperis-Procesi equation

We discuss the short-wave limit of a new three-component Degasperis-Procesi equation, and construct infinitely many conserved quantities for the degenerate system. We study the reductions for a spectral problem of the degenerate system, which are shown to contain spectral problems of some famous or new systems found recently.
