On the distal and asymptotic sets for β-transformations

In this paper, we study the distal and asymptotic sets of a given point in the β-transformation dynamical system, and prove that the Hausdorff dimension of the distal set of any given point is one and the Hausdorff dimension of the asymptotic set of any given point is zero.
