À propos de l'encoprésie résistante dans la clinique des enfants violents

The clinic of violent children hosted by ITEP confronts the professionals with a heterogeneous and anchored symptomatology, evolving from early childhood. Resistant encopresis is one example. This symptom makes it possible to think the clinic in an articulation between internalized and outsourced disorders, psyche and body, subject and social group. This article addresses the issue of resistant encopresis from two cases of boys attended at the age of nine in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Our working hypothesis suggests encopresia as an attempt to deal with loss and separation. We will see in what way encopresie is a symptom bearing a relational and reactional valence, by questioning various aspects such as early bonds, trauma and subjective impasses, psychic life and its objects, psychosexual development of the child, in the light of trans-counter-transference movements. To conclude, we will open on the possible destinations of such a configuration.
