Chlorthalidone induced acute severe prolonged life-threatening hyponatremia

Thiazide and thiazide-like diuretics are commonly used to treat hypertension. Some of them are even shown to provide additional benefits in terms of life saving benefits. Hyponatremia is one of the side effects of these drugs which can be fatal if untreated. Here we present a chlorthalidone induced hyponatremia case and discuss remedies to handle the situation.
