Effect of pain on autonomic nervous system indices derived from photoplethysmography in healthy volunteers

All three thermal stimuli produced a significant change in photoplethysmograph-derived parameters. All photoplethysmograph-derived parameters appear to be suitable to study autonomic nervous system activation.
