Recombinant factor VIIa reduces bleeding after blunt liver injury in coagulopathic, hypofibrinogenaemic pigs

rFVIIa under conditions of hypofibrinogenaemia exhibited a positive impact on coagulation parameters and a reduction in blood loss. These effects were significantly improved after prior substitution with fibrinogen.
