A magnetically recyclable chitosan composite adsorbent functionalized with EDTA for simultaneous capture of anionic dye and heavy metals in complex wastewater

A novel magnetic chitosan (CS) composite adsorbent functionalized with EDTA (denoted as Fe3O4-CS/EDTA) was successfully constructed for simultaneous capture of methyl blue (MB) and heavy metal (Pb(II) or Cu(II)) from complex wastewater through multiple mechanisms.
