An experimental study on antitumoral effects of KI-21-3, a synthetic fragment of antimicrobial peptide LL-37, on oral squamous cell carcinoma

KI-21-3 showed considerable oncolytic properties on SCC-4 carcinoma cells via antiproliferative and caspase-3 apoptotic pathway. Further investigations are necessary to clarify the dose-dependent effects of this agent.
