The femoroacetabular impingement is a relatively new pathology of the hip joint with a high risk of degenerative disease of the joint. An early abnormal configuration between the acetabular rim and the proximal femur (Cam and/or Pincer impingement) may lead to lesions of the acetabular cartilage. Chondral and labral lesions continue to progress especially in the young and active athlete. Early and precise diagnosis are mandatory to determine the type of treatment and the prognosis.
