The metabolic syndrome and insulin resistance: relationship to haemostatic and inflammatory markers in older non-diabetic men

Insulin resistance and the metabolic syndrome showed significant associations with markers of haemostasis and inflammation, which may be relevant to their associations with cardiovascular disease.
