Normal anatomy and physiology have an essential role in acquired disorders of the external ear and auditory canal. The encountered diseases currently recognized or not in terms of etiology are described together with their respective therapeutic principles. Main acquired lesions of the external ear are presented: infectious, allergic, desquamative, traumatic diseases, stenosis, and benign and malignant tumours.
