Malformations congénitales du larynx

Clinical manifestations of laryngeal malformations in children include stridor, dyspnea, hoarseness and sometimes swallowing disorders. Laryngomalacia is the most frequent aetiology, however laryngeal palsy, subglottic stenosis and sometimes subglottic haemangioma or posterior laryngeal cleft can be involved. Endoscopy is the gold standard for the diagnosis of laryngeal malformations. Treatment includes medical and/or surgical techniques selected according to the aetiology.
