Cancer of the cervical esophagus

Cancer of the cervical esophagus is an aggressive neoplasm with a high mortality. Total esophagectomy with gastric tube reconstruction is the preferred approach for operable cases. Indications for surgery, technique, complications, and postoperative issues are discussed.
