Oncologic and functional results of supracricoid partial laryngectomy with cricohyoidopexy

Although prolonged hospitalization and delaying physiological functions can be termed as disadvantages of SPL-CHP, the operation is a reliable and oncologically valid procedure in selected cases of cancer of the larynx who would otherwise be operated by total laryngectomy.
