Incidencia y características clínicas al manifestarse la diabetes mellitus tipo 1 en niños de Galicia (España, 2001-2002)

The incidence of type 1 diabetes mellitus among Galician children is high. The interval between the onset of the first symptoms and diagnosis is long. In 31.7 % of the patients, the initial event was ketoacidosis.
