Rare trisubstituted sesquiterpenes daucanes from the wild Daucus carota

Phytochemical and biological investigation of the roots of Daucus carota ssp. Carota afforded three new and four known compounds, including four sesquiterpenes daucane esters. The structures of the new compounds were determined by extensive NMR studies, including DEPT, COSY, NOESY, HMQC and HMBC analyses.
