A review of the pharmacology and phytochemistry of Uncaria. Emphasis is placed on new compounds and recent pharmacological studies, which are reported according to cytotoxity, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, immunostimulation, antioxidant, CNS-related response, vascular, hypotensive, mutagenicity and antibacterial properities.
