Synthesis, structure and fluorescence of a novel diarylethene

The novel photochromic diarylethene BMDTP was synthesized in 93% yield by the condensation reaction of diarylethene BMFTP with 1,2-ethandithiol. It's structure and fluorescence property in solution were also investigated.
