Investigation of insertion reaction of 10-undecen-1-ol protected with alkylaluminum in En(Ind)2ZrCl2/MAO catalyst system

Insertion reaction of 10-undecen-1-ol protected with trialkylaluminums into the metallocene active center of En(Ind)2ZrCl2/MAO was confirmed in the absence of olefin monomers by GC and NMR analyses. It could be concluded that the insertion reaction of 10-undecen-1-ol occurred catalytically accompanied with an alkyl exchange reaction.
