Investigation of 1-hexene isomerization and oligomerization catalyzed with β-diketiminato Ni(II) bromide complexes/methylaluminoxane system

β-Diketiminato Ni(II) complexes/MAO system catalyzed the isomerization and oligomerization of 1-hexene were investigated. The obtained products involve trans- and cis-2-hexenes and various dimer isomers. The “walking” of the Ni(II) atom from a secondary carbon to another one along the alkyl chain of the m-Ni-alkyl intermediates is blocked in the β-diketiminato Ni(II)/MAO catalyst system.
