Manufacturing restructuring and the role of real exchange rate shocks

► We examine the impact of a real appreciation shock on Norwegian manufacturing firms. ► The shock lead to reduced employment among all firms exposed to the shock. ► We also find labor productivity and measured TFP gains, but only among net exporters.
