An application of the molar Gibbs energy diagrams for determining the composition of a growing phase and of its rate of growth

A method for estimating the composition of a growing phase and the growth rate is proposed. The essence of the method is clarified (graphically) by using the molar Gibbs energy diagrams. The workability of the method is illustrated by applying it to the Al-Zn system.
