High Intensity Muon Beams

The development of high power (multi-mw) proton drivers opens up the potential for very high intensity muon beams, particularly at low energy. These beams are essential for a wide range of physics topics, from the fundamental properties of the muon (like the g−2 experiments) to the use of slow muons in condensed matter physics and perhaps the life sciences for muon spin resonance studies.
