The First Measurement of AN at s=200Â GeV in proton-proton elastic scattering at RHIC

We shall describe the first measurement of the single spin analysing power (AN) at s=200 GeV in the four momentum transfer t range 0.011≤|t|≤0.029(GeV/c)2, obtained by the pp2pp experiment using polarized proton beams at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The results presented are preliminary.
