Fundamental subchondral bone changes in spontaneous knee osteoarthritis

We conclude that prior to any gross osteoarthritis pathology the Dunkin-Hartley are undergoing subchondral bone remodelling, thus demonstrating the fundamental role of early bone remodelling in the development of osteoarthritis.
