PdO hydrate as an efficient and recyclable catalyst for the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction in water/ethanol at room temperature

► PdO hydrate catalyses the Suzuki-Miyaura reaction in ethanol/water mixture at RT in air. ► The catalyst can be easily prepared from palladium chloride. ► The reaction between aryl bromides and arylboronic acids is always quantitative. ► The catalyst can be recovered and recycled several times without loss of activity.
