Intensive tree planting facilitates tropical forest biodiversity and biomass accumulation in Kibale National Park, Uganda

▶ Intensive tree planting produced a closed canopy regenerating forest with10 years. ▶ 39 naturally regenerating tree species were found in the replanted forest. ▶ Shrubs, particularly Lantana camara, threaten the future success of the regeneration.
