Succession of mosses, liverworts and ferns on coarse woody debris, in relation to forest age and log decay in Tasmanian wet eucalypt forest

▶ Bryophytes on CWD show strong succession after clearfell. Diversity increases after clearfell and wildfire for at least 110 years. ▶ There are clear early, mid and late successional species. ▶ Forest age rather than decay of coarse woody debris dominates this succession.
