Preliminary investigations on the anodic oxidation of Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy in a solution containing calcium and phosphorus

► Anodic oxidation of vanadium-free titanium alloy is presented. ► PEO treatment leads to incorporation of calcium and phosphorus into oxide layer on Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy surface. ► Electrochemical characteristics of modified Ti-13Nb-13Zr alloy is determined.
