Effective and rapid electrochemical detection of hydrazine by nanoporous gold

► Nanoporous gold (NPG) membrane was fabricated by a quick and simple way. ► NPG showed superior catalytic activity toward hydrazine oxidation. ► A low detection limit of 16.7 nM and promising reproducibility can be reached.
