Theory of square-wave voltammetry of two-step electrode reaction with kinetically stabilized intermediate

► The appearance of kinetically stabilized intermediate at high square-wave frequency is investigated. ► This phenomenon is manifested by the splitting of a single peak into two peaks. ► The calculated critical frequency is used for the estimation of standard rate constant.
