Toward large-scale Hybrid Monte Carlo simulations of the Hubbard model on graphics processing units

► We explore Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) as a means to accelerate Quantum Monte Carlo calculations. ► We show that the Hybrid Monte Carlo (HMC) algorithm can be accelerated by at least a factor of ∼60. ► HMC greatly improves the scaling properties of Determinantal Monte Carlo (DMC) algorithms. ► We discuss GPU computing for the Hubbard Model and related problems.
