Monoglyceride (MO) has the ability to form various liquid crystalline phases spontaneously in the presence of various amount of water at room temperature. The appropriate compositions from binary phase diagram of monoglyceride/water were selected to form the cubic phase. Various systems were studied at different Iopamidol concentrations using rheological method. It was revealed that the viscoelastic properties went through three regions with increasing the concentration of Iopamidol. When the concentration of Iopamidol was higher than 3.97Â wt.%, the viscoelastic properties were increased, for the phase structure parameter was decreased which led to the more compact structure. The lipid bilayer would be attenuated or disrupted when the concentration of Iopamidol reached to 9.98Â wt.%, for the viscoelastic properties of the system was decreased.
